Cemetery Lettering

We often fulfill customer requests to add a name, date, or both to an existing memorial, by performing on-site work at the cemetery. We are also able to add a verse or simple design, if you wish, without removing your monument or marker from the cemetery.

The Process

The process begins when you place an order over the phone, online, or at our showroom. Hudson Monuments then goes to the cemetery to take a non-destructive rubbing (exact copy) of your memorial. We do this to verify the style of the lettering and the layout. (Note: There is no charge for us taking a rubbing.) Once we have the rubbing, we then mail an order form to you that includes the precise information that you have requested us to add, as well as the exact cost of the work to be done. (These quotes must be returned to us within 6 months to be valid. Prices might be different after 6 months.) Once the signed order form is returned to us, we proceed with the lettering work for you. After the job is completed, we send you an acknowledgment.
